BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.
The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury's lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

I was bothered by the eye color, as i felt the teeth were a little "over the top" and just nailing those, dark, mischevious, compelling eyes wouldve sealed the deal for Rami's, otherwise, excellent portrayal of Mr. Mercury. The time shuffle was a bit convenient and annoying but did make for good "story telling." All in all, id say the film is a success because of it's heart and the actors' and crew's care of the subject. Throw in some brown contacts and id have really little else to criticize. Was it by the book, yes, but Freddie and Queen were very special and that part is well depicted and respected. They deserve the treatment for how well they actually navigated those times. A band ahead in many ways, not perfect, but certainly royalty in the most honored sense of the word.

Nice to see this. It's obvious that to show on big screen these methods are used. No matter what I love the real Oueen's story.
What's this fuss all about, relax and enjoy the movie. For die hard fans it's a refreshing moment, so just enjoy. She's just giving her opinion, and there's no harm in that. As for me I enjoyed d movie, and still i like the real story of Queen, and this is just a movie, where sensationalization is the norm. It ain't a documentary, it's a fucking biography, there a difference (reality vs fiction/dramatization)

I really enjoyed the movie and felt a lot of emotions. AS a kid I liked the typical Queen songs but as I get older I have more of an appreciation and love most of them. I learned a lot in this movie so its good to see these videos that point out the facts but I know film and its not a documentary so I did not expect it to be one hundred percent accurate but I loved it and think Rami Malek did an amazing job.

I understand why they changed things. If the band had a part in it I feel it was acceptable. The facts were there they just took creative liberties to condense the story. I was very happy with the movie and feel it will help new generations to appreciate Queen and this era of music as they should be, I was fortunate enough to have been raised in this era and found a brand new appreciation for the group all over again! I hope the movie gets nominated for some Emmys or golden Globes!! Going back to see it again!!

Rami was amazing, and Gwilym was PERFECT as Brian May - thought I was watching the real guys as I had 40yr ago. Saw the movie twice, and plan on doing so again. Understanding also, that it is a biopic, not a documentary, so no wonder every detail wasn't historically correct, but done for a reason to fit a time frame and brought back so many happy memories of Queen and the 70's and 80's for me

they clearly made the diagnosis earlier because the movie had to end with live aid like imagine live aid in the middle of the movie?? hell nahh so since he was diagnosed 2 years later putting those two years in the movie would’ve kinda ruined the whole BIG end with the concert it just doesn’t feel right you know?? and imagine if they had done the movie as we saw it but without the diagnosis since that was following the real events, we all know that ppl would’ve been mad if they had omitted his sickness but live aid had to be the ending, the years after that are more of the same until 1991 and portraying that would’ve made the movie 4 or 5 hours long! i think it was a brilliant movie

The movie wasn’t meant to dwell on his drama! It meant to share how he was a musical genius! That’s why it’s called BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (his masterpiece) and not Farrokh Bulsara. There’s a line in the film that says he doesn’t want to be the poster child for HIV and AIDS. Sure the movie touches on his personal life but that wasn’t the main point.

come on lets be honest when has any film bio pic ever been completely accurate , the doors movie has a few mistakes, the Jimi Hendrix movie all is by my side had mistakes , mainly because it didn't feature a single note of Jimi's music but the guy playing Jimi was pretty good . Some of the mistakes in this movie were pretty big though like the date of we will rock you and the aids thing which are pretty big deals in queen history I'm surprised Brian and Roger allowed it , i'd rather have a factually accurate film than one just made to be more dramatic, great movie but the whole aids before live aid what a shocker.
